Theme song of Byousoku 5 Centimeters per Second. I can’t really put it to words (the movie), other than I love it very much. And if you’d watch the movie, it’s probably gonna make you bawl like a 7 year old. Touching movie, so let it do the talking.
“The movie is named 5 Centimetres Per Second (秒速5センチメートル) for the speed at which cherry blossom petals fall - Petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways.”
A trilogy of movies directed by award-winning Makoto Shinkai, it has won the Best Animated Feature Film at the first annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards. There are several reviews done by other bloggers, but after I watch this on the big screen, I’d definitely blog about it too.
Yeah for fellow Singaporeans who wanna indulge in this heart-tearing movie, there might still be seats available for the Saturday show. It’s on Dec 1, and it’s selling faster than hotcakes.
